Karma Galey is an Assistant Professor at Paro College of Education under Royal University of Bhutan. He began his teaching career in July 1996 serving in a remote school under Lhuntse Dzongkhag. He was transferred to Samtse College of Education, then National Institute of Education in July 1998 as a lecturer in primary mathematics and mathematics education for B.Ed primary and B.Ed secondary mathematics teachers respectively. After completing his Master in Education in mathematics education from University of New England, Australia in 1999, took various responsibilities at Samtse College of Education viz: coordinated Distance Education program from 2001 to 2005; coordinated Certificate in Teaching Primary Mathematics for school teachers from 2005 to 2009; headed Department Mathematics from 2007 to 2009 and took the role of Program Leader of B.Ed primary from 2009 – 2010. He also undertook various activities both at national and international level to enhance system of education of the country.
Karma Galey left Samtse College of Education after serving more than two decades to Paro College of Education at the end of 2010. He taught primary mathematics, FIT and ICT modules to B.Ed students at Paro College of Education and currently undergoing his PhD studies at University of New England, Australia.
